Director Business Development

I. JOB SUMMARY

Describe the basic function or purpose of this position.

Responsible for establishing strategic business development initiatives that drive corporate growth through product partnerships and alliances. The individual hired for this position will work with the executive team, sales and technology groups to develop partnership strategy and translate that into specific business development initiatives.

II. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Work closely with senior executives to drive partner relationships necessary to achieve business metrics.

2. Survey the mobile advertising landscape and identify opportunities for strategic partnerships/alliances that can help drive the company’s vision forward.

3. Independently structure and negotiate partnership deals from inception through closure, and effectively manage partner relationship ongoing.

4. Responsible for developing and implementing business development programs through in-depth market research, partner contact, and strategic analysis.

III. QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

Education: Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred.

Experience: 8-10 years of related experience in business development or sales.

Specialized Knowledge:

- Prior experience in either the mobile or the interactive advertising space is a must have

- Established relationships with OEMs (Kyocera, LG, Motorola, Samsung, etc.) is highly desirable

- Established relationships and prior experience in working with mobile content providers, aggregators, and mobile application/gaming companies would be a big plus

Skills

- Ability to independently negotiate complex deals

- Ability to survey competitive/partner landscape and identify partnership opportunities

- Must be able to quickly grasp and appreciate technology underpinnings to assess feasibility, and effort required to make something happen should a partnership require technology support

Other

- The qualifying candidate will be a results oriented and self driven individual contributor with an established track record of success.

- Must have an established network of contacts in either the mobile or interactive advertising space, preferably both.
