This small island used to house Venetians infected by the Bubonic Plague and it's said to be full of ghosts. During the 1800s it was used as a mental asylum where many experimental procedures were conducted.
This beautiful French Renaissance castle boasts over 200 rooms and seven floors, and it even has its own opera house. It's believed that one of the most active ghosts, La Dame Verte, can be seen wandering many rooms of the castle.

This ancient building in Gloucestershire, England was initially used by priests who kept slaves there to help build the St. Mary’s Church. This Inn has gained popularity as one of the most haunted places in the world due to the belief that there is a portal for dark energy within its walls.

This prison in Tasmania’s Port Arthur housed some of Britain’s toughest criminals by completely isolating them. Prisoners were subject to a silent system in which they were forbidden to speak.; it is said that hundreds of inmate spirits wander the halls.
This structure on Montpelier Hill in Dublin, Ireland was built from stones of ancient passage tombs, thus tying the spot to the supernatural. Tales of a man with cloven feet and dark energy have been reported by visitors.

At Myrtles Plantation in New Orleans, visitors have been able to catch photos of a girl named Chloe who likes to peer at guests while they sleep. Visitors say you may also see the ghosts of a voodoo priestess, the previous owner or even children bouncing on beds.

Initially built in 1215, this castle in Denmark is one of the oldest and one of the most haunted in all of Europe. Currently, it is home to many ghosts, including the notorious ^%White Lady^%, but it used to house Europe's nobility.
This 17th-century castle is South Africa’s oldest building. Unexplained phenomena have occurred here, like tower bells ringing on their own and accounts of a crying woman who can be seen running through the castle.

This beautiful Canadian hotel is one of the most haunted buildings in the country. Visitors say they've seen the ghost of a bride and a friendly ghost who worked at the hotel during the 1960s and 1970s.
The Recoleta Cemetery is notably one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the world and a popular destination for tourists. It's full of ornate tombs and elaborate sculptures.
