This week we sent our first ever mobile giving request. We provided our customers with an easy way that they could use text messaging to send $10 to the Red Cross to benefit the victims of the Haiti earthquake. It is amazing to see the changes in fundraising that the mobile industry has provided. By some reports it is said that almost 10% of the relief effort for Haiti has come through mobile giving. At last count over $30 million dollars has been raised. Mobile giving has made it easier than ever to quickly provide support to important causes and has open the door to donors who in the past might never have gotten involved. Mobile Posse was proud to join in and provide support…and if you haven’t done so yet, text HAITI to 90999 and $10 will be included on your next phone bill and be given to the Red Cross.
