The Weirdest Airbnbs

Airbnb has incredible and unique listings, but sometimes you find listings that are downright bizarre. Here are some of the strangest ones that we've seen so far.

How would you like to wake up on Mars? Ok, it’s not really Mars, but it comes pretty close. In the village of Wadi Rum, Jordan, these bubble suites will cost you $280 a night.

Relive an earlier era by staying in this restored 1920s wagon. Used by sheepherders from the 1920s to the 1970s, the wagon now functions as humble digs for travelers. At $125 a night, it’s a bargain — and possibly your only option in the vast expanse of Wyoming.

The Aztec serpent god Quetzalcoatl probably wouldn’t have made a very good host, but you can stay within the belly of this mythological creature near Mexico City. Designed by Mexican architect Javier Senosiain, the structure spans 16,500 feet and houses 10 apartments. You can stay in Quetzalcoatl’s Nest for roughly $250 a night.

In rural Idaho, you can stay in this giant wooden dog. At less than $150 a night, you’re paying for the novelty, not necessarily luxury.

Cashing in on the cultural phenomenon “Stranger Things,” an Airbnb superhost in St. Louis has turned her private basement apartment into an ode to the 1980s-inspired show. Featuring the signature Christmas lights alphabet, a pillow fort and more than 50 classic VHS tapes, this accommodation will cost you less than $100 a night.
