Initially announced last summer, Aston Martin's AM-RB 001 hypercar concept is now officially re-named the "Valkyrie". Designed with partners at Red Bull F1, the $3 million V-12 powered machine will be as fast as a Formula One car when it is released next year, according to Aston Martin. The company's design boss Marek Reichman is excited to work with Red Bull's Adrian Newey on the car as both men wish to bring true Formula One technology to the streets. About his partnership with Reichman, Newey states, "It’s been a very collaborative relationship. I drew the original car blissfully ignorant of all the [road car] regulations, and of course it fell foul of quite a few of those. And so working with Marek and his people has been a very positive, iterative loop where we’ve bounced ideas around and come up with different solutions, some of which it’s fair to say haven’t been done before.”
